HOW I PRICE MY HUNTS
What does it cost to hunt in Texas?
I occasionally hear that the way some Texas ranches and outfitters price their hunts is hard to figure out. Sometimes a hunt ends up costing more than the hunter expected.
It shouldn't be like that.
I've built my prices to be simple, straightforward, and reasonable. Read below to understand how it works and to see the prices for my most popular hunts.
And, if you have questions, just ask.
DOUBLE DIAMOND PRICING IS SIMPLE AND EASY TO UNDERSTAND
Here's how my pricing works
PRICING
My hunt pricing is pretty straightforward. All hunts are either trophy hunts or flat rate hunts.
Pricing for trophy hunts includes a daily rate and a trophy fee. Pricing for flat rate hunts is a single fee for the hunt.
Here’s how that works:
On trophy hunts, you pay a daily rate for your room and food and transportation around the ranch, and you pay a trophy fee for the animal you harvest. That trophy fee covers our use of the ranch and my services. For some animals, the trophy fee is fixed. For others, it can vary, based on the animal you harvest. For example, the trophy fee for Texas whitetails is based on the animal’s Boone & Crocket score.
On flat rate hunts, you pay a single fee, which includes the animal you harvest, your accommodations, our use of the ranch, and my services.
For each of my hunts, I’ll show you clearly what it costs. For trophy hunts, I’ll show you the daily rate and the trophy fee. For flat rate hunts, I’ll show you the rate and the number of days and nights included in that rate.
Note that each hunt includes the harvesting of a single animal, with some exceptions. Turkey hunts and hog hunts each include two animals.
PAYMENT
I need your deposit in order to schedule your hunt. For your deposit, I accept checks, PayPal, or a wire transfer. You can contact me for details.
For all my flat rate hunts, the balance (the fee less your deposit) is due prior to your arrival for the hunt. You can pay via wire transfer, Venmo, Cash App, PayPal, cashier check, money order, or personal check.
For hunts with trophy fees, those fees are due before you leave the ranch. You can pay them with cash, cashier check, money order, Venmo, Cash App, PayPal or wire transfer. No personal checks are accepted for trophy fees unless I've approved that before you arrive.
